We purchased cows and calves
from a number of other Red Poll Breeders to
ensure genetic diversity. We run Stud and
Commercial Stock.
We have stock from Redward,
Almora, Eurimbula, Sophronites, Red Cactus,
Rhyd Talog, Raedean, Red Pheonix, Wyena, Stromley
and others. 2004 is the first full year of
our own breeding using Bogart. We have a lovely
drop of his first calves.
Balla Balla has joined Breed
Plan. As we are just establishing no figures
are available as yet but hopefully they will
be available soon.
We have also joined the National
Johne's Programme. All our cattle were tested
at the beginning of January.
This Year we hope to exhibit
Stud Stock at a number of shows. We will also
be entering a number of steers in Hoof and
Hook competitions.
We are happy that we chose to
own Red Polls and would encourage anyone else
to do the same.
